ECOLOGY
- Wood fibre insulation products are ALL natural. Basically they are composed of wood fibre and cornstarch (binding agent).
- These materials are biodegradable and have no negative impact on the environment.
- All products that do not pass our standards are recycled directly in the plant. The very small quantity of material that is rejected is recycled as fertilizer on farmland.
As a matter of perspective, it is interesting to compare this to all other insulation boards. Polystyrene, polyisocyanurate, polyurethane are all employing either HCFC or penthene. These products are recognized as being extremely harmful to the ozone and contribute to the Green House Effect. In fact, the Montreal Protocol has already statued that some conversion will have to be completed by the year 2015.
HUMAN HEALTH
The benefits of having a " breather wall " are obvious. The effects of not having it can simply be disastrous. Reports on the increase of pulmonary diseases/asthma that may be related to this are now making their way through the scientific community.
