Deckgard

01/12/2010

Tough on weather

BP Deckgard is an ultra protective underlayment with so many layers of innovation built into the superior performance it delivers. Constructed with high-strength woven polypropylene and coated on both sides, it provides true surround water resistance, effectively shedding water driven under shingles or other roofing materials away from the roof deck like no other synthetic underlayment can.

Light on roofers

The 10 kg (22 lbs) rolls cover 92.9 m2 (1,000 sq. ft.). They are incredibly light to handle and to work with, making installation fast and easy. The bottom coating is designed to reduce slippage between the underlayment and the roof deck while the top is coated with a textured rubberized polyolefin offering superior slip resistance.

Friendly on scheduling and budgets

Since the rolls are lighter and easier to manipulate, and because their advanced anti-slip performance means roofers can work with greater self-assurance, hence faster, BP Deckgard is an outstanding time and money saver. The 5 cm (2 in) line markings help guide the horizontal alignment of the shingles and are great labour-saving features as well.

High on powerful construction and durability

Constructed to resist wind uplift so it can provide longer term protection than conventional synthetic underlayments, BP Deckgard is armed with exceptional tear and puncture strength so it can perform as the ultimate weather barrier.

Easy on installations virt ually year-round

BP Deckgard stays flexible even in cold temperatures, so you can rest assured it won’t crack when the mercury drops. Its beige colour helps deflect the heat from the sun, making it comfortably cooler to work on in summer, and the UV stabilizing properties integrated into the design allow you to leave it exposed for up to 180 days* without diminishing its performance.
